Project summary

Catering for over 2.6m passengers per annum, the George Best Belfast City Airport (GBBCA) services approximately 40% of the scheduled domestic air traffic to and from Northern Ireland.

Since 2010, GRAHAM has supported the Airport’s upward trajectory, which has coincided with Belfast’s growth on the global stage, through the management and delivery of an extensive range of planned and reactive hard and soft services, minor works projects, energy management, fire and security services and environmental services.

With a dedicated onsite technical services and maintenance team, GRAHAM also assumes responsibility for landside and airside areas to ensure the safe and uninterrupted operation of the airport and its tenanted zones.

The detail

The George Best Belfast City Airport estate, which includes a suite of multi-use buildings spread over a large geographical area, requires a dedicated on-site technical services and maintenance team and a targeted Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) strategy for critical items of plant and machinery including ‘black’ testing.

GRAHAM’s emphasis is on scheduling and planning works to avoid disruption, where possible, which is supported by a 24/7/365 Helpdesk.

Recognising the dual priorities of the Airport, namely security and customer service, our team and supply chain staff, hold Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) and security clearances while relevant staff possess Airside Driving Permits and are in receipt of General Security Awareness Training (GSAT). In addition, all staff are trained in customer service protocols.

We have also completed over £500k of refurbishment and fit-out work, including the £300k upgrade of British Airways’ lounge facility while our Energy Saving Systems project delivered an investment return in 1.81 years, reduced energy consumption in targeted areas by 89% and load by 93%.

"GRAHAM has an impressive skill set spanning both hard and soft services and we look forward to working with the team as they help us to retain our excellent customer satisfaction levels"
