Project Summary

Since 2016, we have successfully delivered over 150,000 sqft of retail space for leading retailer, Marks and Spencer. The stores have been located across the UK and Ireland and include a combination of new and refurbishment projects, with many involving live working environments within busy shopping centres and logistic restrictions. Most recently, we are playing our part in the company's far-reaching plan to protect the magic of M&S, with the transformation of the Abbeycentre Foodhall, offering customers a brand new look and feel.

The detail

Phase one at the Abbeycentre has been designed with the "mind of a supermarket and the soul of a fresh market". The Abbeycentre is one of three and the first in Ireland to benefit from the new design concept centred around renewal.

We increased the store's floor-space by almost 6,000 sqft creating a more contemporary modern look.

A large feature is the in-store bakery which doubled in size, a grocery area designed to shine a light on fresh and seasonal produce and an enhanced freezer space to ensure there is a place for new product developments including frozen herbs and onions.

In-line with Marks and Spencer's wider plastic reduction plan, the store now boasts a range of features to help customers reduce, reuse and recycle plastic, including an increase in loose fresh produce and a free water re-fill station.

Phase two of the project will include a complete refurbishment to clothing areas.
